With most photos you’ll want to be able to capture the detail of your subject, but with silhouettes you’ll take basically the opposite approach. A dark silhouette on a lit background can create a dramatic and intriguing scene, and even a little bit of mystery. Silhouettes can be used effectively when photographing people, landscapes, flowers, and other objects.
In this post you’ll find a variety of different types of silhouette photography for your own inspiration. The photos come from various photographers, and if you click on any of the photos you’ll be led to the source where you can see a larger version of the image, and more of the photographer’s work.
