Fog and mist may not be the first things that come to mind when you’re thinking about great weather conditions, but these elements can be extremely powerful when it comes to creating a mood with your photographs. The same scene can be photographed in different weather conditions and time of day and have a completely different feel.
In this post we showcase 16 photos from various photographers that use fog effectively. If you’re looking to create powerful photographs, try capturing some scenes in the fog. The best times for fog are usually early in the morning or late in the evening. The most likely places to find fog are coastal areas where warm and cool air meet and in low lying valleys.
